New Zealand has opened its borders to skilled foreign workers and students. The NZ government has produced the Green List of Vocations, which includes 85 job roles, to reduce unemployment in New Zealand following COVID-19.
The Green List immigration NZ list comprises positions largely unfilled in New Zealand in the healthcare, construction, engineering, technology, and primary & science fields. Each work role has a specific job code and eligibility standards to be met when submitting a visa application.
Starting on July 4, 2022, those who wish to work in New Zealand in one of the jobs on the "green list" may do so only temporarily on a work visa.
When applying for the Green List Visa NZ, additional information may be needed regarding these roles, including registration, qualification completion requirements or experience-related criteria.
